There are lots of great ways to get involved in 2021 and help to transform the lives of people with profound disabilities. Our fundraising is crucial and pays for the extras like our hydropools, activities and specialist equipment, that make the difference between sympathetic, holistic care and just minding someone.

Here are our Top Ten ways you can help to support Martha this year

  1. Help us spread the word
Follow us on Facebook and invite friends and family to do the same. Simply go to your liked pages, find Martha Trust and select ‘invite friends to like Martha Trust Facebook page’. If all our current followers got just one more person to follow us we could double our reach from– 3,131 to 6,262!
  2. Become a Martha Champion
Join our team of Martha Champions and help make a difference to the lives of people with profound disabilities!
Set yourself a personal challenge and raise sponsorship online by setting up a Virgin Money Giving or Just Giving page. Or use a skill to raise money for Martha.
  3. Make a difference when shopping online
Next time you need to pick something up online, visit easyfundraising.org.uk and support Martha Trust while you shop. Easyfundraising.org.uk is an extensive online shopping directory which boasts over 2,700 of the biggest names in online retailing including Amazon, M&S, Boots, Next, Argos and John Lewis. It’s free to register and they will donate up to 15% of the purchase price back to Martha.
Or if you are shopping with Amazon, then use AmazonSmile. AmazonSmile works in the same way as amazon.co.uk, the only difference being they will automatically donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to Martha! Simply go to smile.amazon.co.uk and log on with your normal Amazon account and start shopping!
  4. Sign up to the Dover Lotto
The Dover Lotto is a great way to support Martha, and you are in with a chance of winning a £25,000 jackpot! Tickets cost £1 with 50% of the ticket sale going to Martha Trust! Visit www.doverlotto.com or call 01304 776123 9am-5.30pm Monday – Friday.
  5. Set up a Facebook Fundraiser
Search Martha Trust on your Facebook, click on ‘fundraiser’ and select ‘Raise Money’ and follow the steps to set up your own fundraiser. You’ll be amazed by the generosity of your friends.
  6. Nominate Martha
Nominate Martha for the token scheme in your local supermarket or for any charity of the year schemes in the local community or place of work.
  7. Support one of Martha’s Fundraising events in 2021
Book tickets for one of our organised fundraising events set to take place later in the year. Have something to look forward to – we’ve got a great line up to choose from. Whether you’d like to join us for live music this Summer at one of our Music4Martha events, or if you are a keen golfer book a team at one of our charity golf days. Book online or call 01304 610448.

We are delighted to welcome Little Gate Farm to Mary House. A group of their guys are now delivering our garden maintenance and doing a great job!

‘We are thrilled to be delivering our garden maintenance service for Martha Trust, Mary House in Hastings. Martha Trust and Little Gate Farm have similar aims, and that is to transform the lives of the disabled adults we serve. At Little Gate we serve adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities who are excluded from the normal opportunities many of us take for granted like employment. All of the adults working on our garden maintenance service are going into paid jobs through our supported employment program. So to have the opportunity to work on the gardens at Martha Trust is great experience’.Claire Cordell CEO Little Gate Farm

A huge thank you to The Bettesteiner Footstompers who bought a taste of the Munich Oktoberfest to Whitfield Village Hall on Friday all in aid of Martha.

Bettesteiner Footstompers frontman Stefan said ‘We were absolutely thrilled to be asked to perform for the Martha Trust fundraising event. This is the second time we have performed at this gig and it is a great event. Of course the really good thing is that all of the money collected with ticket sales and the raffle, is going to such a wonderful cause and we are really happy to make a contribution by performing for them.

It was a really well organised evening in a super venue and was lots of fun for all ages. We aim to be fully inclusive and provide a show you can see with you grand children or your grandmother and all would have an equally good time. It’s great value too and everything is catered for. You simply buy your ticket and an evenings entertainment, food and drink are all provided by the marvellous Martha team.

We always enjoy working with the Martha Trust and they put in a huge effort to make sure that the evening runs smoothly. They are a great team. I gather there are plans afoot to run another event in the future and you can count us in. Ein Prosit!’

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the events, to all our volunteers who gave up their evening in aid of Martha and to our food sponsors – Rooks Foodservices, Bakkavar Salads and Crusties Bakery in Broadstairs.

The evening raised over £1,700 with money still due in from Barclays through their matched giving scheme thanks to their staff member Mandy who supported the event.
