Meet the Senior Management team
Julie Gayler, CEO
Julie joined Martha in 2009 as Fundraising and Communications Manager. Originally on the marketing team at Mini Babybel, Julie went on to become Head of Marketing & Business Development for Individual Donors and finally Head of Marketing and Customer Communications at the Charities Aid Foundation.
Julie’s role has developed and evolved significantly over the past decade at Martha. Julie is a classic example of how we like to develop people’s careers. Julie was originally appointed in our marketing department and since then has learnt the care roles and has managed all our homes, latterly also holding the posts of Deal Registered Home Manager and Deputy CEO. She has taken the opportunity working with a number of the trustees and alongside George to really hone her skills. The trustees are very excited about her appointment to CEO.
Claire Rogerson – Director of People and Culture
Claire started work at Martha Trust in 2009 as a Finance Assistant; she soon moved over to HR where she found a passion for working with people and gained her CIPD qualification. Claire now forms part of the Senior Management team overseeing HR, recruitment and training. Claire loves how every day is different at Martha, and is proud to be working for an organisation that strives to bring out the best in everyone, residents and staff alike.
Owen Nolan – RNLD, Cert HE (Open),PGCert MHSC. Health and Social Care Lead for Martha Trust.
Owen has been working for Martha Trust since 2016. He qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 1998 . Since then he has worked across many specialist areas within the field including, medically complex, sensory loss, dual diagnosis with mental health in both inpatient and community based services.
He was worked in the NHS, private sector and charity sector.
In addition to his nursing experience Owen has a post grad masters in Managing in Health and Social Care, is a Safeguarding Lead and trainer and is passionate about supporting people with PMLD to lead full and contented lives.
