Martha Trust directors Judy Heath and Julie Gayler are revving up for their sixth charity car challenge; Bonkers in Barcelona, and are on target to have raised over £20,000 through their participation in the events.  This year they will be joined by Zana Gradus, Director of Systems Technology and long term supporter of Martha.

Julie Gayler, Director of Marketing at Martha Trust can’t wait to get back on the road: “The annual car challenge is such a great event to be involved in. Driving an old banger through Europe is a real adventure and you meet some wonderful people, enjoy some breath-taking scenery and help to raise thousands of pounds for a really good cause.”

Like all the teams entering, Martha’s Senoritas have to travel in a car worth no more than £200 with tax, insurance and a full MOT: “Our car is an old BMW called Ruby, who has made it to Rome and Monte Carlo and back in the last two years’ car challenges, so she has a taste for adventure.”

Kindly sponsored by Sota Solutions, Systems Technology, Unipet, and Ward & Partners with Kent Community Foundation, this year’s challenge departs Dover for Barcelona on Saturday 12th September 2015, returning Tuesday 15th September. And there’s still time to enter a team. If you’d like to take part visit www.marthatrust.org.uk/bonkersinbarcelona, call Martha Trust on 01304 610448 or email fundraising@marthatrust.org.uk
