Wine Tasting event raises £3,000
Around 100 people joined us in the beautiful grounds of Salutation House in Sandwich for our annual Wine Tasting.
Hercules Wine Warehouse not only supplied a magnificent selection of wines but were on hand with advice and expertise at stations dotted around the gardens. Canapés were available alongside the wine, courtesy of Millards Insurance Services and the entire event was accompanied by music from the Segno Clarinet Ensemble.
We were even lucky with the weather which stayed rain-free and meant that two of our residents, Jacinta and Charlene, were able to join us for the evening and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
A team from Barclays in Ashford volunteered to run the silent auction and raffle on the night which Barclays have generously match funded. Prizes included 3 month’s free membership of Sandwich Leisure Centre, an Aveda Cut and Finish from Pure Indulgence, Folkestone, A Samsung Curve Simplicity from Connect U in Deal, a family day pass to Leeds Castle, a meal for two at St Peter’s in Sandwich and tickets for a show at Leas Cliff Hall.
