Wine Tasting is a great Success!
Over 100 people joined us in the beautiful grounds of Salutation House in Sandwich for our annual Wine Tasting.
Hercules Wine Warehouse not only supplied a magnificent selection of wines but were on hand with advice and expertise at stations dotted around the gardens. Canapés were available alongside the wine and the entire event was accompanied by music from the Sandwich Concert Band.
We were even lucky with the weather which stayed rain-free and meant that three of our residents, Dean, Ann-Marie and Gemma, were able to join us for the evening and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
A team from Barclays in Ashford volunteered to run the silent auction and raffle on the night which Barclays have generously match-funded. Prizes included 3 month’s free membership of Sandwich Leisure Centre, a fine food hamper from Rose’s in Sandwich, a brewery tour donated by Shepherd Neame , a family day pass to Leeds Castle, a £50 voucher for St Peter’s in Sandwich and a voucher to pick your own Bouquet from Blooming Green.
Thanks to your support we raised over £3,000 towards our work. So thank you to The Salutation for hosting the event, Hercules for running the Wine tasting and to everyone who took part and supported us.
